SIFER 2017 Group picture
How to use stables isotopes in forest ecosystem research?
How to obtain reliable data, correct them and ensure their quality?

Join us for a week of intensive training with specialists in these tools and their applications.

To better understand the tree's physiology, the interactions of trees with the soil, the atmosphere or the water dynamics in forest ecosystems, mass spectrometry and laser spectrometry now offer many possibilities for forest research. SIFER training combines practical exercises and theoretical approach. It is intended primarily for PhD students, but others scientists motivated by this field are welcome.  The course will include lectures, computing exercises and practical works.

Organised since 2012 by the University of Lorraine and Research Centre Inra Grand-Est, in the frame of the Laboratory of Excellence ARBRE, this doctoral training course has already welcome 99 students from 26 countries.
